Laurel Falls

One of the most popular waterfalls in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Laurel Falls is an 80-foot water slide down a staircase of rock (Note: Do not slide down waterfall). The beautiful mountain laurel, the flower for which the falls is named, bloom along the trail and around Laurel Falls in May.

One of the features that accounts for Laurel Falls popularity is its easy access via a short paved trail leading to the waterfall. In fact, Laurel Falls is the only smoky mountain waterfall with a paved trail the entire distance to the falls.
